Unleashing the Power of Google Analytics 4 (GA4) – The Future of Web Analytics

Introduction:

Having an online analytics platform is very important for all businesses that have any kind of online presence (and, of course, that’s almost every business!)The first version of Google Analytics was introduced in November 2005. In October 2020Google introduced the latest version, called Google Analytics 4 (commonly known as GA4) which gives a detailed insight to all the businesses that have their website properly connected to GA4including such insights as user engagement on the website, number of impressions, click-through rate, conversion rate, and much more.

What is Google Analytics 4 (GA4)?

Google Analytics 4 is the current version of Google Analytics, which provides more detailed information about the website performance and user experience than previous versions

Key features of GA4:

1) Promote cross-platform tracking:

Google Analytics 4 tracks viewer or customer activities on a given website across multiple devices, such as mobile phones, television, laptop, computer, and iPad. This gives the website owner more detailed insight into its customers and the platforms the customers are using to access the business owner’s website.

2) Analytics based on events:

We are able to see detailed information about various events in GA4 including page views, clicks, video plays, and form submissionsThis feature of Google Analytics 4 helps businesses gather detailed information about the actions of their users or customers, which can be very important for their online business success.

3) Smarter insights with advanced analytics and algorithms:

Google Analytics introduced advanced algorithms which provide actionable insight into the user experience. By understanding the actions of users on the business owner’s website, we are able to determine the potential revenue stream.

4) GA4 is connected with Google Ads:

Google Ads helps businesses to create ads, which will run on both search engines, Google and YouTube. GA4 is connected with Google Ads, which helps businesses to understand what kind of ads get higher user interaction and conversion rates. Moreover, it will also give strategies to create professional advertisements. GA4 is a very effective and informative platform for marketers.

GA4 Versus Universal Analytics (the prior version of GA)

1) Data collection:

Universal Analytics collects data or information by using a sessionbased model in which to gather the information given by a user in a single website interaction, whereas GA4 collects information by using an event-based model. This event is a group of different sessions or visits made by a person on a website that gives more detailed information about a visitor’s behavior on a website and advertisement and is, in a sense, a more holistic perspective.

2) User-Centric focus:

GA4 collects the data of the user on the basis of multiple sessions and also from multiple devices, which means that GA4 essentially captures the whole journey of the visitor. GA4 also use app instance ID and user ID to track the location of users, which gives information to marketers about their customer’s locations allowing the business to create ads accordingly. Conversely, Universal Analytics collects data on the basis of users single session, so it is less incomplete data or at least less informative data than GA4.

3) User-friendly interface:

GA4 is designed as a very easy-to-understand interface, as it consists of graphs and numerical data which demonstrates page views, competition, average view duration, conversion rate, and much more.

Conclusion:

Google Analytics 4 provides informative statistical information from which marketers can create strategies to target their customers. It’s an essential Search Engine Optimization (SEO) tool. It has key features such as cross-platform tracking, smarter insights, and an easy-to-understand interface. Finally, it shows analytics based on events versus UA’s single-session model, which is more accurate.

Every Website Is Being Hacked

website hacker ph

EVERY website is being hacked. And we do mean EVERY website! Now to be fair we can’t make that claim with absolute proof which would mean looking at the data on every website and show the evidence of the hacking attempt. But we are making what we believe is a very reasonable extrapolation. In almost a decade of managing a multitude of websites, we’ve yet to see one that wasn’t probed by a hacker in some way or other. Here's an example of a log from this morning as I wrote this post!536 different hosts attempted login into this one particular site! When I say to our various clients that...

The Most Important Thing for Local SEO

Local-SEO

What is the most important thing for local SEO?  The most important thing for local SEO is Google My Business (GMB).   And yet, most local businesses we deal with seem much more focused on various social media networks such as Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest (which is great for certain market segments – bridal shops come to mind), and other ones such as Twitter, Linked In and so on. They generally don’t pay much attention to Google My Business. This is, in our opinion, a huge mistake. We’re not saying those other networks aren’t helpful for drumming up or building business, but in terms of...
